XBOX 360 CD Drive

Yeah about 10 mins after we did 8-1 somethin happened to my CD Drive. It made a wierd noise and i shut the system off. When i turn it back on everything works fine and no wierd noises, but the Drive wont read any CD. I am assuming something just came undone in it because if it were shot it wouldnt respond with XBOX 360. Perhaps OMO knows something more because I am not sure if my past wife actually sent in the warranty like I told her. I cannot find my papers anywhere.

ok i called and registered because apparently she did not, which figures so my warranty ended in May. SO basically I have the choice of sending it for repairs, but I do not own a credit card to do that. So basically I am stuck trying to fix it myself, or to buy a new XBOX 360 which will seriously piss me off. So I dunno what I am gonna do

Well I opened it up and took a look around. I am pretty sure the CD laser eye thing is messed up. I tried cleaning it and stuff and still no go. I guess I am gonna just have to purchase a new XBOX 360. Dunno when that will be so...

ouch sorry about your luck seph, I've had that issue with my ps2 before and had to try cleaning it myself.

well in the meantime I will put in on the PC and play from there. I will log on later today. I just wanted to fix it cause its 300 dollar machine. If not, Ill try and scrap it and the games and wait a while to get another.

Here is what u can try first put the console back togehter first is there one of those void warranty sticker on the case.

Second dont say thing to us about opening the console cause they will not touch it.

Third call back up here acting like a pissed of customer demanding to speak to a supervisor and tell them that u had mailed the warranty but must have got lost in the mail.

Fourth if u acted pissed off enough the supervisor can set up u for a reduced repair or a free repair. If u are luckily enough to get me i will help u.

Fifth if u cant get a free repair but get a reduced repair let me know i have a prepaid CC u can use if u cant find anyone do u have a money box up there where u live.


Many of ppl have goten free or reduced repair this way at 75% off u would only have to pay about 40$
